Georgian Architecture of Bath
There’s something quietly magical about walking through Bath. The pale honey-coloured stone, the rhythmic symmetry of the buildings, the graceful crescents and sweeping terraces. It's as though time has paused. For me, that timeless beauty wasn’t just something to admire; it became the heart and soul of my latest photography project, a book dedicated to Bath’s Georgian architecture entitled: The City of Bath – Enduring Structures and Transient Lives. Please visit my homepage for more information and also the opportunity to purchase my photobook.
Royal Crescent Bath
The Royal Crescent in Bath, England, stands as a testament to the genius of its architect, John Wood the Younger. Completed in 1774, this sweeping curve of 30 terraced houses is one of the most iconic examples of Georgian architecture in Britain.
Circus Bath
The Circus in Bath, England, is a striking example of Georgian architecture and a testament to the brilliance of John Wood the Elder. Designed in 1754 and completed in 1768 by his son, John Wood the Younger. A construction inspired by the Colosseum.
